The Food Pantry was given a big boost this month (Dec 2014) when long-time Spearfish resident Junior Andersen donated $1,000 to support pantry operations. Andersen and his late wife, Betty, owned and operated Andersen's Carpet and Drapery on Jackson Street for many years. "I like giving back to the community, and supporting the food pantry seemed to be one good way to help do that," said Andersen, seen here presenting a check to pantry vice-president Karen Miller.
Miller noted that "Mr. Andersen's generosity is very much appreciated and will help so many families who rely on the Spearfish Pantry for support. He has our deepest gratitude!"
