RSVP organizes 2013 Martin Luther King supper to benefit food pantry

For the past 14 years, an event to recognize Martin Luther King, Jr. has been organized to highlight the importance of fellowship and community service.  As part of the annual Chili and Soup Supper in late January 2013, attendees were able to collect 253 pounds of food to be distributed by the Spearfish Community Food Pantry.  $1,000 was also collected for the pantry.  Food Pantry president Karen Miller (left) receives the food and cash from RSVP director Nancy Wietgrefe and Hope Lutheran Church volunteer Kent Wietgrefe.
